The principal aim of the Project is a synthetic volume on the history of modern political thought in East Central Europe.

2nd Core Group Meeting

In the meeting of the core group, we agreed on the following resolutions:

  • The next meeting will be held in November 8th – 9th   in Budapest. January 16th – 20th 2009 will be the turn of Ljubljana (in collaboration with the Scientific-Research Institute of the Slovenian Academy of Sciences), followed by Prague in late April or early May 2009, then Warsaw. We will take advantage of the Ljubljana meeting to meet experts from Croatia and Bosnia.
  • In the following months we will complete the compilation of the list of key concepts represnetative for the given natioanl contexts, a list of foreign thinkers who had an important influence in the region, and a list of essential “canonic texts” from the natioanlc otnexts included in the project, so that a reader of these essential texts can be compiled.
  • We start working on the comprehensive bibliography of political texts from the region than can be made available for a broader public on the website. 
  • The general scheme for the website of the project will be established.
